Earlier in the Autumn, following a donation of three sleeping bags from Total Energy Solutions, an appeal went out for blankets and sleeping bags for the Soup Run. The response to the appeal has been overwhelming and we have received more than 50 blankets and sleeping bags.
The phone has been ringing and emails have been arriving daily as people of all ages in the local community have been keen to help. Blankets were even delivered by bicycle one night while another man dropped a sleeping bag off and then stayed to wash up! It is good to know that with the colder weather approaching we now have a store of bedding.
