SPECIAL THANKS to Kerry and Mark for bringing “A Salt ‘n’ Battered” to Shekinah
Kerry and Mark felt they had been blessed in life and wanted to give back something into the community. So they decided to offer a night of free hot food from their mobile fish and chip van “A Salt ‘n’ Battered” one cold Sunday night in January, adding an extra something special to the usual Sunday night goodies, volunteers and facilities. On approaching Shekinah, one of the clients said he saw the van outside and thought wishfully “wouldn’t it be lovely to have food from there”… only to realise he was’! By day Mark is a prison officer and Kerry is a nurse so the mobile food van is something of an alternative dimension to their busy and varied lives. Thank you Kerry and Mark for your generosity and everything you do for the benefit of others.
