The mainstay of the Soup Sun service is the food kindly donated by a wide range of sources as listed below. We are always happy to learn of new sources of food and recommend potential donors to contact one of the teams listed on our About Us page where they will be able to find their geographically nearest Soup Run team and/or the team that would benefit on a particular date/night of the week. The Soup Run is fortunate to receive generous donations of food from suppliers in Plymouth and other nearby locations as listed below. Every donation is gratefully received, be it on a regular basis to all teams, occasional, or to local teams. All teams raise funds to supplement donations in order to ensure the food provided is as nutritious and balanced as possible and to purchase other goods such as toiletries.
Many thanks to everyone who has made generous cash donations to the Soup Run over the Christmas period, including Plymouth Public Dispensary, Persimmon, The Stoke and Devonport Christmas Tree Festival, Cann Bridge School, Cheryl and Susan family raffle, The Maker and Rame WI Choir and a number of individuals. These monetary donations will enable us to buy sleeping bags, rucksacks, clothing and other essential items.
